Inspiring Jew from Today: Dr Naya Lekht

Dr Naya Lekht is a leading educator on antisemitism, antizionism and Jewish identity. Born in the former Soviet Union and raised in the United States, she speaks openly about growing up without the freedom to live as a Jew, and how that experience shaped her commitment to Jewish learning and public education.

Naya is known for her groundbreaking work on antizionism. She explains how antizionism developed as a modern form of antisemitism, how it challenges Jewish nationhood, and why many young Jews face it in schools, universities and online spaces. Her talks and videos give people the language to recognise these patterns and respond with confidence and clarity.

She recently founded Stop Antizionism, a new initiative dedicated to educating the public about antizionism and giving communities clear tools to understand and counter it. You can learn more about this work at stopaz.org.

She teaches students, works with communities and creates widely shared educational content that makes difficult topics easy to understand. Her work strengthens Jewish identity at a time when many feel unsure or isolated.

Naya’s scholarship, courage and clear voice make her one of the most inspiring Jewish educators today.
